Sentinel5 provides commercial and home CCTV installation, repairs, upgrades, temporary site CCTV and ongoing maintenance across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Greater London. We combine security camera work with the network engineering that modern IP systems depend on.
Designed properly
The survey establishes what you need to see, where cameras can be fitted and how recordings will be used. Lens choice, lighting, cable routes, access and storage are part of the same design. A useful system starts with those decisions rather than a camera count alone.
Installed properly
We consider the cameras and NVR alongside Cat6 cabling, PoE, switches, VLANs and remote connectivity. Tidy installation and clear equipment naming make a system easier to use and maintain. Commissioning includes recording and playback checks, not only a live picture.
Supported properly
We explain authorised access and day-to-day playback at handover, then discuss ongoing support. Existing systems can also be inspected for repair or maintenance takeover. The written scope sets out what is included and any equipment limitations.
CCTV & Infrastructure Platforms
We usually start with Hikvision for demanding commercial systems, Reolink for homes and smaller businesses, and ANNKE for cost-conscious wired installations. Compare the brands and our selected cameras to see the differences and trade-offs. A simple home installation may not need a commercial specification.
Supporting CCTV infrastructure can include Ubiquiti connections and integration with existing Cisco, Aruba or Ruckus equipment. Camera power, switching, network separation and recorder access are assessed with the network owner. Equipment is selected around the property, budget and support needs. These technology references do not imply manufacturer accreditation or partner status.
Talk to Sentinel5
We offer free site surveys and are fully insured. Tell us about the property, its location and the outcome you need from the cameras. Get in touch to discuss installation, a fault or an upgrade.
CCTV Installation Backed by Network Engineering
A modern camera is part of a network. We plan Cat6 cable routes, PoE power budgets, switch capacity and recorder bandwidth together. Where the site warrants it, VLANs separate camera traffic, fibre connects buildings or longer routes, and a UPS can support agreed equipment through a short power interruption. The design starts with the coverage and retention requirement, then checks the infrastructure that must carry it.
Secure remote access includes authorised accounts, supported software and a handover that covers playback and export. We consider access and maintenance when locating recorders and switches. Explore our CCTV network planning, camera-positioning guide and storage calculator.
Proof in the Work
Our project briefs describe existing Sentinel5 work. They explain the requirement and response without adding equipment or location details that have not been confirmed. If you have inherited an installation, we can begin with a system audit or fault-finding visit.
