CCTV FOR YOUR INDUSTRY

Retail CCTV

Useful evidence. Straightforward playback. Less disruption to trading.

Shop CCTV is most useful when a manager can follow an incident from the entrance through the sales floor and back to the relevant counter or stock area. Sentinel5 installs retail CCTV with clear camera purposes, straightforward playback and work planned around trading arrangements.

Entrances and changing light

A shop entrance often combines a bright window with a darker interior. We consider the direction customers arrive, how doors and displays affect the view and the image at different times of day. The entrance camera should complement the sales-floor view rather than duplicate a distant overview.

Tills and counter activity

Till coverage needs a careful angle. Staff, displays and the counter itself may hide the activity a manager wants to review. We discuss the required detail and keep the view focused on the purpose agreed for the system. Sensitive payment information and private staff activity should not be captured unnecessarily.

Aisles, displays and stock rooms

Displays move, seasonal stock gets taller and aisle ends change. Those changes can create blind spots without a camera developing any fault. We consider likely store layouts and make camera naming easy to follow. Stock-room access and delivery routes may need separate views from the public retail area.

Incident review without guesswork

Recording settings, timestamps and camera names should help managers locate a particular time and route. We demonstrate playback and exporting with authorised users. Access can be separated so that an employee who needs a live view does not automatically receive administration or export permissions, where supported by the equipment.

Installation and ongoing care

We discuss cable routes, ceiling access and work windows before installation. For an existing shop system, inspection can identify cameras or cabling that remain useful. Maintenance can cover lens cleaning, changed views, storage health and app access after staff or broadband changes. See commercial CCTV and CCTV servicing.

Book a retail survey

Tell us your postcode, trading hours, approximate store size and whether the enquiry is for a new system or a fault. A floor plan or list of the areas you want to review helps start the discussion. We cover shops and retail premises across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.

Equipment and Evidence

A low-light turret can be considered for an entrance with changing light. Use the camera comparison to check alternatives, and read our retail project brief for an existing requirement and response.

A shop enquiry in Berkhamsted HP4 can start with the frontage and any rear stock route; for Aylesbury, tell us whether customer and delivery entrances are separate. These local service pages also explain repair and upgrade options when the cameras or layout already in place need attention.

COMMERCIAL CCTV

Plan CCTV around your business.

Describe your premises, operating hours and recording requirements. We will discuss camera coverage, CCTV infrastructure and access for a commercial survey.
