CCTV FOR YOUR INDUSTRY

Office CCTV

A considered approach to shared spaces and controlled access.

Office CCTV needs to fit the way a building is managed. Sentinel5 helps businesses plan coverage of entrances, reception, shared routes and car parks while coordinating the cameras and recorder with the existing network and responsible property managers.

Reception and entrance routes

We identify how staff, visitors and deliveries enter the premises and where a camera view would serve a clear purpose. Glass entrances, reception lighting and the position of a desk can affect image quality. Camera positions should be reviewed with the people who manage the space, including areas shared with other occupants.

Tenant and landlord boundaries

An office tenant may control its suite while the landlord controls the lobby, risers or car park. The survey should establish whose approval is needed for cable routes and mounting points and who will operate each part of the system. We do not assume access to another organisation's cameras or network.

Car parks and shared access

Overview cameras can show movement around the parking area and approaches to the building. Useful detail at entrances may need closer views. Trees, headlights and parked vehicles can affect coverage. If the requirement is number-plate recognition, specify that separately rather than assuming a general CCTV view will deliver it.

Working with your IT team

Cameras, recorders and remote access should be considered alongside office and guest networks. We discuss PoE switching, VLAN separation, firewall rules and available bandwidth with whoever manages the infrastructure. Clear responsibility for account access, network changes and updates makes future support easier.

Permissions, recording and handover

Agree who can view live footage, search recordings and export a clip. We explain these functions and check recording and time settings at commissioning. Employee changes can require an access review even if the cameras have not moved. Planned maintenance can include equipment health and these operational checks.

Arrange an office CCTV survey

Useful starting information includes a floor plan, building access arrangements, your IT contact and the areas your organisation controls. We can assess a new commercial installation or an existing system across our four core service areas.

COMMERCIAL CCTV

Plan CCTV around your business.

Describe your premises, operating hours and recording requirements. We will discuss camera coverage, CCTV infrastructure and access for a commercial survey.
